The Birthrate Plus® App to assess safe staffing on wards has been utilised for a number of years now and is supporting local staffing decision making across England and beyond. We are taking the opportunity to work with a number of services to enhance and develop the tool further, as well as considering recent workforce policy developments. The review will began in August and aims to be completed by October. As well as service users we will be working with professional bodies, including the RCM, and independent academics to ensure the review is as effective as possible. The review does not affect the use of the current use of the tool – although we are always pleased to receive feedback and ideas for improvement!
